Likalia And The Abundant Novels
I have set my latest personal reading challenge, so far I’ve been trying to get through a book a month to ease my shelves of unread novels, but now it is something a little more challenging.
The next Harry Potter movie is due out on the 11th of July. I have decided that before then I want to get through as many of the six Harry Potter books I can that are sitting on my shelves. I started the Philosopher’s Stone last night and got about 1/3 of the way through it. I have a feeling the first couple books will go by much quicker than the last ones. Especially since by the time you get to the fourth book it is about 3 times the size of the first.
There is a good chance that I won’t get them all read, but I am going to make an effort to at least get to the fifth book, as it is the latest movie.
I am getting through Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone much faster than the first time I tried to read it. Not sure what has changed. The last time I could barely get past the first chapter, something about J.K. Rowling’s writing style that I couldn’t handle or just a disinterest in the content. This time though I am having no such qualms, maybe it is because I have seen the movies and have that background info to fill into the book or perhaps I am just less judgemental in general because it seems perfectly fine to me now. Whatever the case, I am enjoying th book and the challenge has begun.
Wish me luck. 124 pages down 3,236 to go.
Updated: Friday June 22nd @ 9:47 – Finished Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone – 1 book down, 5 to go. Alternately 3,028 pages to read.
Update 2: Saturday June 23 @ 12:45am – Finished Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets – 2 down, 4 to go – 2,660 pages left.

- Dear Tuesday, you sucked! Never pretend to be Monday again, it was cruel & unusual punishment. P.S. if you see Wednesday tell it to be nice.
- Came across episodes of Hex, @JosephMorgan look so young. Though I suppose saying that implies I think us old now, which clearly we are not.
- Solution to a day that left me with a headache? Catching up on @rickmercer & the Mercer Report. Ten minutes in my day is infinitely better.
- About to try the first quiche I have ever made. If you don't hear from me again - call the coroner? http://t.co/ZbtK7QdQ
- Most annoying bit about having a broken bedside lamp: when done reading having get out of my warm comfy bed to turn off the overhead light.

You? Less Judgemental when it comes to literature? What is the world coming to?
I know – I think Hell is partially frozen over – I’ll try to become more judgmental again.
