Welcome to Two for One Tuesday

That’s right, today instead of just one writer, you get two!

WOOHOO! I know you are thrilled, but wait there is more, it really is another person, not just one of my split personalities. Today we have the lovely Maggie making her Labyrinth Debut.

Let’s give her a warm welcome…*clapping*

Today’s Forecast: Rainy With A Bit Of Bitter

It’s officially fall – or autumn if you prefer to be all highfalutin. With rain comes the official chequered flag signalling summer’s last hurrah. Appropriately enough, it rained today as it is the little kiddies’ last week of freedom before school starts. I happen to be a big fan of rain in all forms: big fat drops, sprinkling sun showers, down pours, and even horizontal rain, but this time I had mixed feelings when I noticed/smelled it was raining. The smell of rain is great because it’s the smell of fall and I love the fact that in fall it’s cool enough I actually ‘have’ to wear sweaters which are cozy (I’m a sweater freak), winter is coming and that means holidays, and then its closer to summer (Yay!) – but then it also means school and work and stress and angst and pressure and deadlines. I wasn’t sure what to think about the rain today.

You could look at a few ways:

  1. Earthy: Mother Earth is signalling a change for which we must prepare.
  2. Meteorologist: precipitation is a naturally occurring event when a low pressure system moves into an area.
  3. Gardener: Thank goodness for rain. My flowers needed a good soaking.
  4. Commuter on bike: Damn! I thought I could have another few weeks with out this crap making my pants wet!
  5. Commuter in vehicle: Glad I’m not one of them thar enviro-conscious types.
  6. Student/Teacher way: I only have 7 more days to play outside! This sucks!

I’m a number 6.

Perhaps one day in the future she shall grace us with more words of wisdom, or maybe OTHER people might like to share with us. We’ll just have to wait and see. :)
